It helps you process. It can give you a deeper understanding and gives you a clear understanding of what’s at hand. This is important for those crazy emotions! (And if you need some guidance on accepting your emotions click here.)
It helps you de-stress. Writing in a journal is like talking to a bestie. They just don’t talk back and sometimes we need that! Plus, the self-care/self-love aspect is an added bonus.
It helps you stay grounded. Meaning you won’t just freak out, at a moment’s notice, because you have something to help you cope.
There are so many other reasons to journal and you might have your own.
Before I give you the prompts, let’s talk facing denial. These prompts are designed to help you become aware of whether or not you live your life in denial. They are designed to help you see how you might not be listening to the universe when you need to. The universe speaks to us through people and situations and sometimes we don’t want to take responsibility for our actions in those situations and put everything on the other person. Most of the time, there is something we can take responsibility for. With this blog and prompts you can become aware and start taking responsibility for your actions. You can do all of this now through journaling.

When your friends give you advice do you take it?
Have you learned a life lesson the hard way more than once?
Do you believe you’re always right? Do people believe you always have to be right?
Do you have a hard time believing you should be to blame for things?
Describe a time where you believed you were right but you were wrong, but never apologized or acknowledged you were wrong.
Write a letter owning up to that situation and apologize.
Look back on your life, what choices can you take responsibility for now?
When someone is delivering constructive criticism do you have a hard time listening?
Do you do and say things to people to make yourself feel better?
Do people have a hard time communicating with you?
In relationships, do you always to have be right or is being happy more important?
When people point out the things you shouldn’t have done to people, do you reflect or ignore it?
Do you judge people?
Do you think people should live their life to your standard?
In the last week, what’s something you should have owned up to but didn’t?
List all the bad crap that’s happen in your life.
Now take responsibility for any of that bad crap you could have controlled.
Think back to your “ex” relationships, where did you cause problems?
In an argument do you take what the other person said and use it against them or turn it around on them?
Do you believe your actions/behaviors are victim mentality?
Do you believe you can do no harm?
When you feel guilty and or angry do you project your emotions out on other people to scapegoat taking responsibility?
When was the last time you admitted you were wrong?
If you could go back to your past and change something what would it be?
Can you take any responsibility in a situation that transpired today?
Do you take your family and or partner into consideration when making decisions?
Do you believe in karma?
Go back through your entries what have you learned about yourself?
Do you struggle with living in denial?
